Three weeks of intensive dance theater workshop with Cristiana Morganti led the young actors of the Accademia d’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico to the creation of a performance full of surprises somewhere in between dance and theater.

The young actors of the Academy, put to the test by Morganti’s original and challenging proposals, get involved into the game without sparing themselves. The result goes far beyond a simple demonstration of work. It is a real show with a dramaturgy that runs through it and a surprising sequence of scenes that are sometimes poetic, sometimes comical and delicate.

It’s nice to discover these young actors one by one in their own authenticity, without having to adhere to a character in a play, as they normally do. We often laugh thanks to the crackling dialogues and the hilarious group moments, like the one set on an imaginary beach to the tune of “Club Mediterranée”. But in the end the strongest impression is left by the dance scenes; real explosions of energy, in which one is struck by the precision and skill of the performers. Are they dancers or are they actors? “It doesn’t matter”, seems to say Morganti making the boundaries between these two very similar and powerful disciplines absolutely invisible.
