Cristiana Morganti, choreographer and dancer, icon of Pina Bausch’s Tanztheater and Kenji Takagi, also a former dancer of the same legendary company, meet the cellist Emily Wittbrodt to create and dance together and thus a performance is born that combines the explosive energy of two „stage animals“ with the enveloping poetry of live music.
The performance IN ANOTHER PLACE invites us to enter a place where time is suspended, a different world, where one can withdraw and reconcile with nature and perhaps with oneself. The performers, two dancers and a cellist, would like to immerse themselves in this serene, luminous space, to take advantage of this „state of grace“. But irritations, disturbances intervene, as in a dream where one is continually awakened. The two women and the man fight in a tragi-comic way in an attempt to create a harmonious interaction. Every time they are about to succeed, something happens that makes them unable to relate to each other again. Misunderstandings, interruptions, discussions lead them back to isolation, each in their own sphere. Will it be through dream or reality that they will finally be able to find each other?
